About the Golden Gun
James Bond is one of the most iconic screen heroes for the past 50 years. He has singlehandedly defined what the spy genre is, with his movies showcasing gadgets, exotic locations, and heart-pounding scenes.
It’s safe to say that only a handful of people in the world have never heard of James Bond, which is a testament to the enduring popularity of Ian Fleming’s fictional character.
This website is replete with information about the suave super agent. It has a complete list of all James Bond films starting from Dr. No in 1962 up to the latest instalment in the series, Spectre. It also has information about gadgets, characters, scenes and everything James Bond fans would like to read about Agent 007.
I believe that James Bond is the quintessential super spy, no matter how many spy characters are introduced in the big or small screen.
For one, James Bond is as tough as they come. He is a hero in every sense of the word, and is not afraid even in the face of danger. He’s also very confident and self-assured. How many times has he kept his cool even when he’s facing death?
It is also hard to dispute how cool Bond is. One moment he’s chasing bad guys and the next scene, you see him making love to a beautiful woman. Or he’s making a joke that can make anyone smile, if not laugh.
Bond is also one of those rare guys who are elegant and classy. He knows how to wear tux. He knows how to drive a sports car. He knows his cocktails. And he is a master in the art of seduction.
Lastly, Bond has stood the test of time. He has remained hip up to this day because film producers understand the need to adapt the character to the time period of his films. In the beginning, James Bond films were strictly adventure-spy. In the 1970s, Bond movies became outright comedies while in the 90s, his character remained relevant after the Cold War.
I started following Bond in the 70s. I first saw “The Spy Who Loved Me” and instantly became a fan thanks to the outstanding performance of Roger Moore. I remember how I was so amazed at the Lotus Esprit car as well as the scores of gadgets that were on full display on the said movie. And how could I forget the lovely Barbara Bach who played the Bond girl.
After seeing that movie, I made it a point to catch every succeeding Bond flick. I also tried to see the previous Agent 007 flicks, and this made me appreciate the legend that is Bond. Up to this day, I have to admit that there’s the kid in me who wishes I could be James even for a day.
I hope that you enjoy browsing the website. There are lots of things that you can discover in this website which I believe will make you a bigger James Bond fanatic.
